I grew up in Illinois, received my undergraduate degree at the University of Iowa, moved to Austin, Texas for a good chunk of years (and obtained my Master's), then moved back to Iowa to settle. I missed the midwest. I missed seasons (even snow, though maybe not so much when it shows up in April).

I consider myself progressive, humanist, and feminist. I'm passionate about books, reading, television, movies, coffee, tea, music, and animals. I love being a therapist. I also love writing, going new places, trying new restaurants, and hanging out with my kid and husband.
